GNCM represents major corporations, project developers, insurers, and property owners of all kinds in environmental cases. The firm represents both plaintiffs and defendants in cost recovery, contribution, and land damage claims arising from environmental contamination brought under CERCLA, the federal Superfund law; under Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 21E; and under common law theories such as nuisance and trespass.

  • We represent the interests of a major national corporation in Superfund sites and all other environmental matters throughout New England.

  • We are defending a major Massachusetts corporation in a substantial contribution action relating to alleged PCB and heavy metal contamination of the Massachusetts Convention Center property.

  • We represent a Massachusetts corporation and a national defense contractor in land damage claims relating to a Massachusetts landfill, including cross-claims against the United States Air Force.

  • We have tried contribution cases under Chapter 21E to jury verdicts in the Massachusetts Superior Court, including one on behalf of approximately twenty corporations against seven of the largest petroleum companies in the world.

  • We successfully negotiated a multi-million-dollar environmental cleanup settlement with a major Fortune 100 company involving three large condominium complexes and a private landowner. The settlement required all contaminated properties to be fully remediated and restored with all amenities at no cost or attorneys' fees to our clients.
